Chain Striper is a biologically degradable product from Silca that you can use to degrease the chain before applying wax. It is no longer necessary to use solvents such as isopropanol and acetone. Thanks to this, chain degreasing is easier, faster and environmentally friendly. In addition, the Chain Stripper works as a primer - the surface of the chain is thus better prepared directly for the wax.
You can use the chain stripper:
- to the chain already mounted on the bicycle - apply the dropper link by link and leave for approx. 10 minutes, then apply again with the dropper and then wash the chain with water
- for a new/dismantled chain - put the chain in a cup, cover it with the Chain Stripper, tap it properly for approx. 1 minute and then leave it on for another 9 minutes, then take the chain out of the cup and wash it with water
Then you apply the wax.
