Zipp's high-rim wheels - the 858 NSW and 808 Firecrest - embody your goal to go faster. These two wheelsets are favorite weapons for triathletes and time trial specialists. Now, the Zipp 858 NSW and 808 Firecrest offer even more speed with the addition of the Total System Efficiency design with a no-crease tire bead to rim fit. What's more, each of these sets is hundreds of grams lighter than its predecessor.

The Zipp 808 Firecrest Tubeless Disc Wheelset is all about the science of speed. This is the perfect approach for Zipp's rigid, high-rim bikes designed for triathlon, criteriums, and road racing. Their 80mm-deep rim is designed to make you faster in all directions. Zipp's Total System Efficiency, or TSE, design approach infuses the 808 Firecrest with new features, including a significant weight reduction of more than 280 grams over the previous version. The bike is also designed with a hookless (rim without a crease) and tubeless rim profile with an internal width of 23mm. An ideal combination for running wider tires with lower pressure, which reduces rolling resistance and provides better cornering grip. In fact, TSE attacks four main obstacles to speed: wind resistance, gravity, rolling resistance, and vibration losses. Zipp's legendary Firecrest rim shape provides high aero efficiency and stability in crosswinds. Zipp's ABLC technology also uses a complex dimple pattern on the rim to improve aero efficiency. What's more, even though this wheelset is optimized for tubeless use, you still have the option to use Tubeless or tubeless-ready tubeless tires with a tube. The 808 Firecrest with TSE builds on this bike's legacy as the fastest or most optimized bike for time trial, triathlon, and criterium racing. It is fastest in combination with a 28mm tire. Disc brakes offer more reliable braking force modulation and braking performance in all weather conditions. What's more, in triathlon, using wider tubeless tires with lower pressure will make you faster while also smoothing out the ride, leaving your legs fresher for the all-important run. A set of German-designed Zipp ZR1 DB hubs provides fast engagement, rugged durability, and adds to the 808 Firecrest's punch.
