The new Zipp 454 NSW Tubeless Disc Brakes are a pure racing road wheelset and deliver everything a performance oriented cyclist demands. They are aerodynamically efficient and stable in all weather conditions. Plus, the wider rim is designed for tubeless tires with lower pressures, which translates into less rolling resistance and better vibration absorption, so you lose the least amount of precious energy on the road. The wheels are optimized for 25mm tubeless tires for maximum speed.

The 454 NSW are equipped with Zipp's most advanced technologies. The wavy shape of the 58 mm high Sawtooth rim with Hyperfoil lugs is the most aerodynamic and stable profile in the Zipp 404 family. The new 454 NSW Tubeless for disc brakes are over 400 grams lighter than their predecessors!

The use of straight rim walls (no hook) on the 454 NSW is an integral part of making you faster. With straight walls, the transition between the tire and the rim is smoother and more aerodynamic. Hookless Zipp rims have a more efficient distribution of resin in the material, which results in lighter and stronger wheels.

External testing commissioned by Zipp revealed the real benefits of Zipp's approach to Total System Efficiency (TSE). An 85kg bike-rider system on the new 454 NSW with 25mm tires needs 278 Watts to maintain a speed of 40km/h. That's 10 Watts less than the previous 454 NSW model.

The 454 NSW wheels are built on redesigned Cognition DB V2 hubs with an improved Axial Clutch V2 freewheel mechanism for faster engagement, less friction and improved durability.
