Zipp Super-9 Carbon 700C rear wheel

Smoother is faster - with the Zipp Super-9 Tubeless Disc for disc brakes. Among the lightest discs available on the market, the Super-9 is an excellent addition to your modern triathlon or time trial racing rig. Its refined shape extends parallel from the hub until it meets the straight hookless bead for tire seating. Featuring a carbon fiber laminate and Zipp Total System Efficiency (TSE) design, the Super-9 is designed for a new era of wider, lower-pressure tires in TT and triathlon. Zipp based its approach to TSE wheel design on a simple premise: efficiency equals speed, whether the asphalt is perfect or not. The combination of Zipp's wheel laminate with a wider rim profile and optimized tire bead helps you overcome the four obstacles to speed: wind resistance, gravity, rolling resistance and vibration losses. Based on TSE technology, Zipp has redesigned the Super-9 from the rim bead to the ceramic hub bearings. The result is less waste of your efforts. For triathletes, this means you'll have more energy to run. The Super-9 is a great match for current Zipp tubeless front wheels. The "old belief" is that it is always faster to pressurize your tires to their maximum before a time trial or triathlon. You felt every bump as you literally bounced along the road. Utilizing Zipp's dual innovations, hookless rim bead and TSE, Super-9 riders realize that a disc doesn't have to feel stiff to be fast. The Super-9 is the fastest with 28mm wide tubeless tires inflated to a lower pressure than traditional ones. So in addition to gaining speed, you'll experience better handling and cornering on the track with a disc that's significantly stiffer and more durable than its predecessor. Optimal tire pressure is key to maximizing speed on your bike. To ensure proper inflation, the Super-9 is equipped with the TyreWiz 2.0 tire pressure monitor, which is perfectly balanced and unobtrusively integrated, so you'll always know if you're within the required PSI/bar range. Inflation is a breeze with the sophisticated pump-to-valve approach, without the use of stickers. The Super-9 disc is equipped with a powerful ZR1 hub with ceramic bearings and 66 engagement points.
