An absolute novelty from Mavic in the design of top quality road (cyclocross) wheels with disc brakes. Mavic has set a very high bar for these wheels, which is simply unmatched by the competition. The Ksyrium PRO DISC model is a new phenomenon in the legendary Ksyrium model collection!
The rims are eccentric both at the rear and at the front wheel, and their shape and profile are designed specifically for disc brakes. The front hub has a solid construction to safely bear the load of disc braking. The front wheel is compatible with 15 mm axles and classic quick-releases. The rims have the same processing technology as Ksyrium SLR or R-SYS SLR, i.e. ISM 4D! The front and rear wheels are entwined with profiled aero Alu-ZICRAL spokes, of which there are 20 on both wheels. The ISOPULSE braiding system ensures strength and safety during braking with such a number of spokes.
The Mavic Ksyrium Pre Disc wheels are basically fitted with 25 mm tires of the new YKSION PRO construction with 127 TPI. With a different construction for the front and rear wheel. The wheels have been tested for years with light and reliable quick-release fasteners.
