DT Swiss M 1900 Spline Boost 27.5" Boost front splined wheel
The wheel is suitable for very rough surfaces with jumps and steps up to approx. 120 cm high at speeds of 40 km/h. For riders with very good riding skills.
The 1900 Spline is the first step in DT Swiss' MTB line, where the company wanted to achieve reliability while focusing the rider on the moment of freewheeling. This is helped by the aforementioned Ratchet LN freehub system in the case of the rear wheel.
Compared to classic ratchet hubs, which have a small engagement area, the Ratchet system has a much larger engagement area and all teeth engage simultaneously, which places less strain on the hub and increases reliability.
The rims on the 1900 Spline are not welded, but are connected by a sleeve joint - a precision sleeve insert - which is more efficient in production than a welded rim, but meets the same testing requirements and the additional weight is minimal.
The M 502 uses eyelets and no PHR. Both rims share an optimized balance of durability and weight. With an internal width of 30 mm , tubeless installation is user-friendly and provides the necessary support for tires.
