Fulcrum Red Zone 5 29" wheel set, Boost, Shimano MicroSpline
Red Zone 5 are wheels designed specifically for cross country and marathons. The goal of Fulcrum engineers was to develop a product that is ideal for training and recreational fun, while being durable and reliable for all-round use.
The new hubs have the same housing as the hubs used in the Red Zone Carbon and Red Zone 3 wheels. The differences are found in the axle and the bearings: in the Red Zone 5 hub we used sealed, long-lasting and efficient bearings that can be micro-regulated with a specific adjustment ring. The Red Zone 5 rim is equipped with a 2-WAY FIT READY rim with a height of only 18.6 mm and a new asymmetric cross-section that has been specially designed to ensure an optimal balance of spoke tension.
The rim width is wider compared to previous versions, so it can be used with less pressure, allowing for better grip and control in the most extreme conditions.
A tone-on-tone design with a part-gloss, part-matte finish wraps around the rim profile around the valve area, while the traditional red logo box can be found on the opposite side of the rim.
