The CXR X1 WheelSystem clincher wheels with carbon rims are designed specifically for gravel bikes. With their robust and durable construction, they are lightweight, enable excellent power transmission, and at the same time provide high driving comfort.

  • The larger internal rim width (25 mm) combined with the hookless design is ideal for using wider tires (40-50 mm), which are now standard on gravel bikes (for better traction and stability on the terrain).
  • hookless carbon rims for higher overall rim strength and greater internal width without increasing weight – hookless technology increases rim strength by improving the consistency of the carbon fiber structure, creates high impact resistance and also allows for a rounder tire shape for better grip
  • The smaller rim height of 25.8 mm increases the compliance of the wheels and reduces their overall weight
  • Reinforced rim bead better distributes impact loads and increases rim strength without increasing weight
  • Precisely designed reinforcements around each spoke hole provide support exactly where it's needed, without adding unnecessary material
  • the Dynamic Balanced Lacing (DBL) technology ensures that the wires are set to the optimal tension at engagement, which brings increased wheel stiffness and thus a higher efficiency of your power transmission

Giant was established in 1971 in Taiwan, they are one of the largest bicycle producers in the world. In the beginning, they made bikes for other companies. Since 1981 Giant has been supplying the market with bicycles under their name. They were one of the first companies to start mass production of carbon framesets. Liv is their brand for bikes for women offering MTB, road and gravel bikes. Components are also included in their offer as well as wheelsets under the name Cadex (their brand name).
