DT Swiss conversion kit from 3-latch nut to Ratchet 18T

The conversion itself is very simple and thanks to it you get the advantages of the Ratchet system, such as extraordinary reliability and adaptability to the angle of engagement. The reliability of the Ratchet system is achieved due to the fact that each tooth engages simultaneously. Since each side rotates against the other, there is an even distribution of force. In contrast, the latch system has a much smaller reach.
