Product description

The Tacx Smart Sensor measures speed and cadence during training. Because it communicates via ANT+ and Bluetooth®, data can be easily transferred to a bike computer and smartphone.

Speed and cadence sensor with ANT+ and Bluetooth from Tacx

The Speed & Cadence sensor is one of the first sensors ever to work wirelessly with both ANT+ and Bluetooth® Smart technology. This allows the sensor to be used in combination with various devices such as a smartphone, tablet, sports watch, GPS device, bicycle computer or Tacx turbo trainer. The sensor can also communicate simultaneously via Bluetooth® with a smartphone and via ANT+ with a sports watch, for example. The Speed & Cadence sensor can be used both indoors in combination with an interactive Tacx trainer and outdoors during a training tour on the bike.

Please note:
The Tacx speed & cadence sensor is not compatible with the Tacx applications for tablets and smartphones.

Requirements:
To use the Speed & Cadence sensor you need Bluetooth® 4 or higher. If you have a different version of Bluetooth® and want to link the Speed & Cadence sensor to your smartphone or tablet, then you can use a receiver especially developed for that purpose. For an Apple (iPhone) device, use the Wahoo ANT+ dongle. For devices with a micro USB port, use the Tacx ANT+ Dongle micro USB.
