Continental GrandPrix 5000 584x28C tire, Kevlar
The new Continental GrandPrix 5000 is here in size 28-584 (650x28B). The GP5000 tire is made of 3-ply material with TPI 330 and has been improved with the Black Chilli compound. Even the Vectran Breaker safety belt was not left without innovation, the protection against the defect was thus increased by 20% and the weight was reduced by 10 g. The designers managed to reduce rolling resistance by 12% in the new model compared to the GrandPrix 4000 S II.
Two novelties were also added, such as Active Comfort Technology, which aims to absorb vibrations and Lazer Grip, providing better grip in turns.

PSI - indicates the pressure to which the manufacturer recommends inflating the tire. 1 atmosphere = 14.7 PSI
TPI (EPI) - the density of the shell's skeleton fibres. The higher the TPI value, the more flexible and flexible the tire will be.
Kevlar tire - foot made of Kevlar fibres. The cover can be folded, so it is more practical when moving or storing. It is characterized by a lower weight compared to wire casings and a higher resistance to puncture.
Wire tire - bead made of wire. The shell is inflexible, it is heavier than the Kevlar one.
