Pirelli Scorpion E-MTB R 29x2.6" SmartGRIP HyperWall tire, TLR, kevlar, OEM
The Pirelli Scorpion E-MTB R is an ultra-durable tire for an aggressive riding style. It has a specific design for the rear wheel: added traction for better pedaling power transfer and greater braking efficiency, as well as greater durability for fast and confident riding on different surfaces, both dry and wet. It is also equipped with the innovative and patented HyperWall™ construction, which allows you to achieve the necessary ride quality and reliability (especially in tubeless use with low air pressures) and the new SmartGRIP Compound rubber compound.

HyperWall™
Innovative technology that Pirelli has brought to the world of cycling thanks to its rich experience in motorsport: a newly designed bead and sidewall construction that further improves its properties - handling at low air pressures and resistance to cutting. The key features for off-road use, especially in the most demanding disciplines such as gravity and eMTB, are the integrity of the tire bead and the stability of the sidewalls. A tread pattern made from a sophisticated rubber compound relies heavily on its behavior, which is dependent on the stability and integrity of the bead and sidewall. Pirelli introduced a construction where the bead and sidewall rubber insert are firmly attached by a woven material connector, so they behave as one piece, not two separate components that can move relative to each other, which is the common standard in tire construction. The advantages of this technology in numbers (based on Pirelli's internal laboratory and practical tests): improved bead stability (+ 10%), better protection against punctures (+ 50%), better handling when using low air pressures (+ 25%), greater resistance to sidewall punctures.
SMARTGRIP
The premium rubber compound is the product of Pirelli's experience gained from off-road racing circuits for 2 and 4 wheels around the world. Pirelli engineers have developed a compound with two diametrically opposed properties:
• resistance to cutting: guarantees maximum mechanical adhesion and grip in dry conditions and higher puncture resistance together with a longer service life
• chemical wet grip: no need to think about changing conditions, whether it will rain or whether there will be muddy and slippery sections on the track
The result is a longer life of the driving characteristics of the tire, which not only has excellent grip and grip in contrasting conditions such as dry and wet, but also maintains these driving characteristics as the pattern wears. In contrast to multi-compound rubber compounds (two or three), the single-compound composition of SmartGRIP allows balanced driving characteristics during tire wear and its entire life. The greater mechanical resistance of rubber also provides greater resistance not only to wear, but also to puncture, so it is necessary to develop a greater force to cut or puncture the casing.

PSI - indicates the pressure to which the manufacturer recommends inflating the tire. 1 atmosphere = 14.7 PSI
TPI (EPI) - the density of the shell's skeleton fibres. The higher the TPI value, the more flexible and flexible the tire will be.
Kevlar tire - foot made of Kevlar fibres. The cover can be folded, so it is more practical when moving or storing. It is characterized by a lower weight compared to wire casings and a higher resistance to puncture.
Wire tire- bead made of wire. The shell is inflexible, it is heavier than the Kevlar one.
