Pirelli Cinturato™ Velo TLR 24-622 road tire, Kevlar
The Pirelli Cinturato™ Velo tubeless road tire has been designed to achieve maximum durability and comfort while riding, without a negative impact on performance. Thanks to Pirelli's many years of experience, the reliability of SmartNET™ Silica technology combined with the comfort of Tubeless-ready tires and the durability of Armor Tech™ technology, a tire was created that is ideal for long rides in different terrains and on different surfaces.
SmartNET™ Essential Oil
Innovative patented silica enables:
Low rolling resistance and high rolling efficiency thanks to the natural anisotropic orientation, which reduces heating and increases elasticity, thus minimizing energy dissipation. The natural compatibility of silica with water, which is further enhanced by the wider surface area of elongated silica molecules, provides the same adhesion on dry and wet surfaces. Rapid interaction with other chemical elements, due to their arrangement in the mixture, creates a natural network that increases protection against a defect and increases range.
Armor Tech™
A patented construction combining the following components of different functions, which are located inside the shell from the inside out and form a nylon knit superstructure with a fiber density of 60 TPI: a layer of high density nylon fiber located between the lugs and which protects against a defect the seat belt of knitted, aramid high-density fibers are located under the tread and provide protection against a defect aramid particles dispersed directly in the rubber compound (SmartNET™ Silica), which is in two layers: the outer layer (sheathing), which has the task of driving characteristics (holding both dry and wet , long run, surface perception) and an inner layer (base), which slows down the penetration of foreign bodies to the lower layers due to the greater concentration of aramid particles in it.
TUBELESS-READY
The bead of the Cinturato Velo tire has been designed for maximum compatibility and airtightness with TUBELESS-READY rims, as well as for easy assembly when used with or without a tube.
Pirelli
A world-famous Italian manufacturer that was founded in 1872. It focuses on the production of tires for cars, motorcycles and, from 2018, also for bicycles. It is the exclusive supplier of tires for Formula 1.

PSI - indicates the pressure to which the manufacturer recommends inflating the tire. 1 atmosphere = 14.7 PSI
TPI (EPI) - the density of the shell's skeleton fibres. The higher the TPI value, the more flexible and flexible the tire will be.
Kevlar tire - foot made of Kevlar fibres. The cover can be folded, so it is more practical when moving or storing. It is characterized by a lower weight compared to wire casings and a higher resistance to puncture.
Wire tire - bead made of wire. The shell is inflexible, it is heavier than the Kevlar one.
