WTB ThickSlick is the ideal urban tire for messengers and fixed gear. ThickSlick has a completely smooth surface without a pattern that provides optimal traction on both smooth asphalt and rough street surfaces.
The smooth non-tread rubber allows the tread to adapt to urban surfaces without the raised tread to slow you down.
The fat rubber provides protection against punctures from glass, nails and any other urban pitfalls.
The larger volume of the rubber ensures a smooth ride, while also providing greater support to the fixed gear wheels. Another advantage of a larger portion of rubber is the extension of the life of the tire.
