Pirelli Scorpion XC H Classic 29x2.2" ProWall tire, TLR, kevlar, OEM
The Pirelli Scorpion XC H MTB tire is designed for riders who demand reliability and high performance. Thanks to its sophisticated design with low-profile lugs and minimal spacing, it offers exceptional grip and control on any hard surface. A key advantage is the multi-purpose SmartGRIP rubber compound, which provides excellent grip in both dry and wet conditions. For marathon courses where surfaces are constantly changing, this tire is the ideal choice, as it can maintain maximum speed and grip regardless of changing terrain conditions. In addition, it is characterized by exceptional reliability and long service life, making it a practical and economical choice for demanding cyclists.
KEY FEATURES
SmartGRIP rubber compound – excellent grip in both dry and wet conditions throughout the life of the tire with increased puncture resistance.
Braid – 120tpi multi-layer nylon braid for low weight and great rolling.
ProWALL construction – protective sidewall reinforcement for better puncture resistance.
Tubeless-Ready – tubeless use with easy assembly and durable feet.
Recommended rim width: 25C
Weight: 660g
PROWALL
Technology of protective reinforcement of the sidewall of the tire for better puncture resistance and more stable performance when using low air pressures in the tire. The added layer of nylon fabric through the braid on the sidewall not only increases the resistance against cutting and snapping, but also improves the overall behavior of the tire in turns and thus enables better control of the wheel and more precise holding of the track. These features have been achieved without compromising on tire weight and pedaling power transfer efficiency, making tires with this technology perfect for use in XC racing to aggressive Trail riding when paired with a suitable casing (120tpi or 60tpi, respectively).
SMARTGRIP
The top rubber compound is the product of Pirelli's experience gained from off-road racing circuits for 2 and 4 wheels all over the world. Pirelli engineers have developed a compound with two diametrically opposed properties:
• resistance to cutting: guarantees maximum mechanical adhesion and grip in dry conditions and higher puncture resistance together with a longer service life
• chemical grip in the wet: no need to think about changing conditions, whether there will be muddy and slippery sections on the track
The result is a longer life of the driving characteristics of the tire, which not only has excellent grip and grip in contrasting conditions such as dry and wet, but also maintains these driving characteristics as the pattern wears. In contrast to multi-compound rubber compounds (two or three), the single-compound composition of SmartGRIP allows balanced driving characteristics during tire wear and its entire life. The greater mechanical resistance of rubber also provides greater resistance not only to wear, but also to puncture, so it is necessary to develop a greater force to cut or puncture the casing.

PSI - indicates the pressure to which the manufacturer recommends inflating the tire. 1 atmosphere = 14.7 PSI
TPI (EPI) - the density of the shell's skeleton fibres. The higher the TPI value, the more flexible and flexible the tire will be.
Kevlar tire - foot made of Kevlar fibres. The cover can be folded, so it is more practical when moving or storing. It is characterized by a lower weight compared to wire casings and a higher resistance to puncture.
Wire tire- bead made of wire. The shell is inflexible, it is heavier than the Kevlar one.
