Maxxis Minion DHF 27.5x2.50" WT 3C DoubleDown tire, TR, kevlar
Probably the most widely-used and most successful in recent years Downhill tire in the world.
Elements such as tapered studs for low rolling resistance and quiet running: the Minion DHF of Maxxis
With longitudinally slotted cleats for more grip edges were combined. As a result, it has excellent directional stability and precise cornering ability. He is the reference for fast control loops, ranging from light Freeride (26 × 2.35: 690g) to the extreme downhill (26 × 2.70: 1340g). The Minion DHF is constantly updated and supplemented with new versions. New versions are now Enduro MTB tires in all three sizes, and the Maxxis TR (Tubeless Ready) versions.Product features

Tubeless Ready (TR)
- Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can drive with less air pressure. This provides better traction and rolling resistance decreases. And where there is no hose, also decreases the risk of punctures. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for the assembly with sealing milk than others "Tubeless Ready" tires. The bulge of our TR tire is completely covered like a real UST tubeless tires with a rubber layer. Thus, the Schlauchlosmontage is successful for all rims with standard dimensions already at the first inflation and with little liquid.
Double Down
- Doubledown tires are built like our downhill tires: two carcass ply reinforced with a butyle insert in the side wall. With two 120 TPI (instead of 60TPI) carcass plies and aramid bead, they are significantly lighter than our downhill tires, much more stable and robust than our TR + EXO tires, making them ideal for tough enduro courses.
3C MaxxGrip
- Our familiar 3C downhill mix, which many of the best downhills have been trusting for years, is now called 3C MaxxGrip. 3C MaxxGrip provides ultimate grip and cushioning for unmatched traction in downhills.
WIDE TRAIL (WT) - the tire shape is optimized for use on 30-35 mm rims
|
3C MaxxGrip provides the best traction on wet, steep roads with rocks and roots. However, with greater rolling resistance, climbs and flat sections will be more exhausting
|
Double Down (DD) - lighter version of the butyl reinforcement, which, in combination with cord with fibre density of 120 TPI, provides optimal properties for enduro/trail tires
|
TR - Tubeless ready tire is adapted for tubeless operation

PSI - indicates the pressure to which the manufacturer recommends inflating the tire. 1 atmosphere = 14.7 PSI
TPI (EPI) - the density of the tire's skeleton fibres. The higher the TPI value, the more flexible the tire will be.
Kevlar tire - foot made of Kevlar fibres. The tire can be folded, so it is more practical when moving or storing. It is characterized by a lower weight compared to wire casings and a higher resistance to puncture.
Wire tire - bead made of wire. The tire is inflexible, it is heavier than Kevlar.
