The Minion DHR tire was designed by the European Maxxis-MSC racing components development team for the downhill needs of the UCI World Cup series. Like the DHF, the DHR uses slanted lugs, but the grooves in them are designed for better braking and acceleration. Depending on the track conditions, DHR can be used at the front and rear or only at the rear in combination with DHF.
