WTB BYWAY 27.5x1.8" (47 mm) Light Fast Rolling SG2 tire, TCS, Kevlar
The central part of the tread of the Byway tire is made for endless fast adventures on paved roads, while the lateral part with pronounced protrusions allows significant support when it comes to muddy or loose surfaces. Extending them into the sidewalls increases cornering traction and adds additional sample protection.
New tire protection WTB - SG2
In addition to its low weight, SG2 tire protection also ensures excellent protection against punctures and punctures. Such tires have a high value of 120 TPI - that is, the number of threads per inch (threads per inch), which expresses the density of the fibers in the shell of the tire. This new protective layer is lightweight and contains an ultra-thin nylon liner that covers the entire surface of the jacket from toe to toe. So you can go on any surface without worrying about breaking through.
How much more durable are the new skins with SG2? Laboratory tests show that the addition of the SG2 protective layer provides 33% better sidewall protection and 17% better tread protection than standard 60 TPI tires without SG2. PSI - indicates the pressure to which the manufacturer recommends inflating the tire. 1 atmosphere = 14.7 PSI
TPI (EPI) - the density of the shell's skeleton fibres. The higher the TPI value, the more flexible and flexible the tire will be.
Kevlar tire - foot made of Kevlar fibres. The cover can be folded, so it is more practical when moving or storing. It is characterized by a lower weight compared to wire casings and a higher resistance to puncture.
Wire tire - bead made of wire. The shell is inflexible, it is heavier than the Kevlar one.
