Continental Aero 111. This hot new product has been thoroughly tested in the wind tunnel and represents the pinnacle of aerodynamics without compromise. Thanks to the BlackChili compound and Vectran Breaker protective layer, this Aero 111 offers low rolling resistance, high puncture resistance and excellent grip in all conditions.

Aerodynamically optimized tread pattern

The tread pattern of this tire looks unconventional: 48 small cavities are regularly distributed across its surface. These so-called "Vortex generators" control airflow turbulence on the surface of the front wheel. The result is optimized airflow that reduces resistance of the entire wheel-tire system.

Aero 111 technology and the gliding effect

Even with lower rim profiles, the rider benefits from this effect because the laminar airflow remains attached to the rim for longer. This reduces the aerodynamic drag of the wheel-tire system at all speeds.
