The optimized heart rate monitor in the Garmin HRM-Swim™ optional sensor range is the first heart rate monitor from Garmin designed for use (sensing and recording heart rate) while swimming. Compatible for use with Forerunner 920XT/ 735XT/ 935, fenix 3/5/5S/5X (PLUS), quatix 3/5, tactix series devices.The manufacturer has redesigned the design so that it can be reliably used even while swimming, which is impossible with a regular heart rate monitor. Thanks to the new heart rate monitor, you can unify the measurement and recording of your heart rate not only when running and cycling, but also when swimming (in an indoor pool or open water). While swimming, it "stores" the measured pulse values in the built-in memory (20 hours of recording), where they are ready for immediate synchronization with a compatible watch immediately after surfacing or after the end of the workout.

The construction and materials used in the expansion part (chest strap) have a special anti-slip surface that ensures maximum adhesion to the skin even during swimming.
