At the beginning of each season, it is a good idea to check the condition of the belts - the stickiness of the glue and the condition of the toe and heel. If the glue does not hold well, is torn in some places, dirty from needles or other dirt, the glue must be replaced. This is what this Smart Glue replacement adhesive in a roll is for, with which you can easily renew the adhesive layer of the riser strip.

One 4 m roll is usually enough to renew the adhesive for both strips.
The procedure for restoring the adhesive of the climbing belt
- Remove the old layer of glue – either using a heat gun or a scraper. You heat the old glue with a gun or a powerful hair dryer, which you then scrape away from the belt with a scraper. The second method is to use an iron and absorbent material (an old cotton T-shirt), where you pass a hot iron over the T-shirt, placed over the old glue, and the glue gradually absorbs into the T-shirt.
- Place the film with the new adhesive on the cleaned belt along its entire length with the transparent part towards the belt.
- Use an iron at a temperature of approximately 150°C to evenly iron the adhesive onto the strip.
- Allow the glue to cool and dry thoroughly (even for several hours) and only after it has cooled, remove the foil from the strip.
- Remove the excess glue from the edges.
To extend the life of the adhesive, it is advisable to use a separation foil, which is included in the package of KOHLA rising adhesive strips or can be purchased.
