Petzl I'DS rappel brake, black
The self-locking rappelling device ID S is primarily intended for work at heights and for work with rope access. It has an ergonomic handle that allows comfortable control of the rope. The integrated anti-panic function and the fuse against incorrect rope installation limit the risk of an accident due to user error. The AUTO-LOCK system allows the worker to assume a working position at the station without having to manipulate the handle or tie the locking knot. Once locked, the rope can be lifted up without having to manipulate the handle. The safety latch allows the rope to be installed even when the device is attached to the harness. The ID S is compatible with ropes with a diameter of 10 to 11.5 mm and allows the handling of loads up to 250 kg.

- A safety latch on the movable sidewall allows easy installation of the rope while the device remains attached to the harness
- Easy rope installation thanks to grooves and markings
- Insurance against incorrect rope installation to reduce the risk of an accident
- The ergonomic handle allows the rope to be released and enables comfortable control of the rope
- Two possible roping modes: the outgoing end of the rope leads sideways through the sidewall or forward through the V-shaped friction segment
- The anit-panic function automatically stops the rope if the user pulls too hard on the handle
- It enables smooth movement on an inclined or horizontal surface
- The AUTO-LOCK system allows the worker to easily position himself at the work station without having to manipulate the handle or tie the securing knot: as soon as the user releases the handle, the rope is automatically locked in the device
- The automatic handle return system limits the risk of accidentally catching the device
- The handle automatically returns to the stowed position when the rope is removed from the device, reducing the risk of accidental entanglement when transporting the device on a harness
Universality:
- After blocking, the rope can be lifted up without having to handle the handle, e.g. for creating a hoist for pulling, or short rope climbs
- The cam can be manipulated like a safety brake, it is possible to feed and retrieve the belay rope during ascents with climbing equipment
- The movable sidewall can be secured with a screw, which allows the ID S to be integrated into evacuation kits
- An additional brake, open or closed, can be installed on the device, which will increase friction and improve rope control depending on the weight and diameter of the rope
- The stainless steel friction segment increases the resistance of the friction zone of the rope
- The possibility of abseiling with heavy loads up to 250 kg
- Compatibility with ropes: diameter 10 to 11.5 mm
- Available in two colors: yellow and black
