Petzl SIMPLE rope brake
SIMPLE is a rappelling brake designed for caving and is easy to operate. Used with low-stretch ropes with a diameter of 8.5 to 11 mm. The smaller size and weight make it easier to maneuver in narrow passages. The life of the device can be optimized by rotating the rollers or replacing them.
Easy to use:
- very easy to use, the speed of the ascent is controlled by changing the pressure of the hand on the free end of the rope
- installation diagram engraved on the brake body
- The safety latch on the swivel side allows for easy rope insertion while the device remains connected to the harness, making it easier to pass progressive anchor points.
- The oval connection hole allows the FREINO Z carabiner to rotate to prevent loss of the brake when switching from the harness connection eye to the semi-circular carabiner.
