Petzl FREINO Z TRIACT-LOCK rope carabiner with lock safety
The FREINO Z carabiner has a friction spur to add or adjust friction during rappelling. Easy to use and compatible with I'D S, I'DL, I'D EVAC and RIG self-locking abseil brakes. As long as it is turned, it is impossible to lose it when disconnecting from the material loop and connecting to the harness or to the anchor point. FREINO Z has a TRIACT-LOCK or TWIST-LOCK automatic lock fuse.
Rope control:
- The spur helps to increase friction for better control of ropes with heavy loads (e.g. two-person rescue situations)
- Easy to use and control, the rope can be quickly routed through the friction spur and removed with one hand
Simple handling:
- The rope can be easily inserted into the spur without opening the carabiner Keylock to prevent accidental snagging of the carabiner
- TRIACT-LOCK automatic lock safety with three-stage opening for use on harnesses or anchor points
- TWIST-LOCK automatic fuse with two-stage opening
- If the carabiner is rotated, the I'D S, I'DL and I'D EVAC (1) or RIG (2) self-locking abseil brakes are protected against loss when connecting from the material loop to the harness connection point or anchor point
