Climbing Technology BE-UP kit belay
Multi-purpose belay device with a compact design, suitable for use with half, double and single ropes for mountaineering, multi-pitch sport climbing and traditional routes. BE-UP safety label
Intuitive and easy to use, the BE UP belay has a modular braking system that optimizes braking with all types of ropes and enables automatic blocking and independent belaying of two co-climbers.- Effective belay of the first climber. The specific shape of the BE UP arrester allows smooth feeding of the rope and does not get stuck, even when you need to feed it quickly, e.g. when your fellow climber clicks the belay.
- When belaying a first climber on a multi-pitch route using double ropes, the BE UP allows you to feed one rope while the other rope is blocked.
- Effective modular rope braking: "V" shaped notches are specially designed to guarantee better braking control when catching a fall, abseiling or picking up co-climbers.
- It allows picking up one second climber or two second climbers independently. If the second climber falls, the belay is automatically blocked. In the case of picking up two, it is possible to pick up one of them even if the other one is sitting in a rope blocked in the shelter.
- BE UP is equipped with a release eye, which is used to release the rope or to lower the second climber sitting in the rope. To unfasten the rope, simply lift the guard using the HMS carabiner inserted into the unfastening eye.
- Enables quick transition from pick-up mode to first-climber belay mode.
- When abseiling, the ropes stay separate, they don't tangle, and the "V"-shaped notches allow you to easily control the abseiling speed.
Carabiner CONCEPT SGL
Lightweight HMS bolt-on carabiner with ACL system (steel spring preventing over-rotation of the carabiner) made of light alloy, hot forged. Designed for alpinism, traditional and sport climbing. It is particularly suitable for use with a safety device. The wider side of the carabiner provides plenty of room for belaying through a half boat knot or for rope maneuvers on the belay stand.- Prominent double T profile for excellent weight/carrying ratio.
- Lightened and shaped for a better grip.
- The nose of the carabiner is without a beak, so that the carabiner does not catch when it is clicked in and out.
- The ACL system - a steel feather that allows the carabiner to be attached to the securing eye of the seat, which fixes its position and thus prevents cross-loading of the carabiner.
For use with double or half dynamic ropes with a diameter of 7.3 - 9.0 mm
|
For use with single dynamic rope with a diameter of 8.5 - 10.5 mm
|
The belay body is hot-forged from light alloy - lightweight and extremely functional for best performance
|
The body includes an eye for attaching to a stand when belaying a second climber in GUIDE mode
|
The belay device includes a plastic-coated steel cable, which eliminates excessive movement of the belay device when belaying and ensures easier handling so that you do not accidentally drop the belay device.
