Climbing Technology Be-Up belay device, blue
A multi-purpose belay device with a compact design, suitable for use with half, double and single ropes for mountaineering, multi-pitch sport climbing and traditional routes. Intuitive and easy to use, the BE UP belay has a modular braking system that optimizes braking with all types of ropes and enables automatic blocking and independent belaying of two co-climbers.

- Part of the body is an eye for attachment to the stand when belaying a second climber in GUIDE mode.
- Part of the arrester is a plasticized steel cable, which eliminates excessive mobility of the arrester during belaying and ensures easier handling so that the arrester does not accidentally drop.

Properties of BE UP
- Effective belay of the first climber. The specific shape of the BE UP arrester allows smooth feeding of the rope and does not get stuck, even when you need to feed it quickly, e.g. when your fellow climber clicks the belay.
- When belaying a first climber on a multi-pitch route using double ropes, the BE UP allows you to feed one rope while the other rope is blocked.
- Effective modular rope braking: "V" shaped notches are specially designed to guarantee better braking control when catching a fall, abseiling or picking up co-climbers.
- It allows picking up one second climber or two second climbers independently. If the second climber falls, the belay is automatically blocked. In the case of picking up two, it is possible to pick up one of them even if the other one is sitting in a rope blocked in the shelter.
- BE UP is equipped with a release eye, which is used to release the rope or to lower the second climber sitting in the rope. To unfasten the rope, simply lift the guard using the HMS carabiner inserted into the unfastening eye.
- Enables quick transition from pick-up mode to first-climber belay mode.
- When abseiling, the ropes stay separate, they don't tangle, and the "V"-shaped notches allow you to easily control the abseiling speed.
