EDELRID Megawatt rappel brake
Compact abseil brake for rescue work and industrial climbing with anti-panic function and load capacity up to 230 kg. The intelligent gear mechanism of the descent lever allows for a large working range and precise speed adjustment with minimal force.The short lever always automatically returns to the parking position and makes the device extremely compact. This prevents tangling. The ergonomic design of the lever with rubberized grip inserts allows intuitive active and passive control with either the left or right hand. The four-way safety lock allows you to insert the rope without having to separate the device from the carabiner. Steel inserts in particularly stressed areas increase the service life of the device.
The risk of uncontrolled movement along the rope is reduced by the anti-panic function. It can also be triggered intentionally to reverse the direction of the lever action. This allows for optimal handling in any application and position. All of this makes the Megawatt brake the most versatile descent device on the market at a weight of only 495 g.
