Fenix HP35R rechargeable headlamp, 4000 lm, black
Fenix HP35R rechargeable headlamp
The extremely powerful Fenix HP35R rechargeable headlamp offers an unrivaled output of up to 4000 lumens (ANSI) and an afterglow of 450 meters. Excellent performance was achieved by using a powerful Cree XHP70 LED with a neutral shade and a pair of Luminus SST-20 LEDs with a warm shade of light and a high color rendering index of CRI 94.5 (Color Rendering Index). Warm light penetrates fog, rain and snow better, so you can especially use it in bad weather conditions. The headlamp is equipped with a remote reflector and a pair of smaller reflectors with a wide cone of light. The reflectors can be turned on separately or they can be started simultaneously in a combined mode. With intuitive control using a rotary and electronic switch, you can handle every situation with an overview.
Comfortable wearing on the head is ensured by a wide black perforated strap. If you only want to wear the headlamp on a helmet, then we recommend purchasing the Fenix HP35R SAR version, which has an integrated helmet mount with NVG mounting and a non-flammable and anti-static rubber strap for work helmets.
For power, it uses a Li-ion battery with a capacity of 10,000 mAh, which is placed in a separate case on an adjustable cable. The case can be worn on the back of the neck, placed on a belt, in a pocket or backpack. This increases wearing comfort and in winter the batteries are better protected against frost. The battery case is equipped with a red light with a power of up to 20 lumens, a charge indicator and a charging USB-C connector. The charging USB-C connector also functions as an output, so the battery can also be used as a power bank for charging your mobile phone, GPS navigation and other USB devices.
The headlamp offers a total of 12 power modes. In the lowest mode with 5 lumens, it provides an excellent endurance of up to 500 hours (that is, more than 20 days). The body of the headlamp is made of aluminum alloy used in the aviation industry, so excellent cooling and resistance to damage is ensured. Designed specifically for search and rescue, caving and work use, this high-performance headlamp with a separate battery will also be appreciated by ski alpinists, mushers and other extreme sports and outdoor enthusiasts.
All parameters of the headlamp (luminous flux, operating time on batteries, waterproofing, afterglow and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.
Using the Fenix HP35R headlamp
The headlamp is turned on and off with a rotary switch on the right side. In the first position, the headlamp is turned off, by turning it to the second position, it turns on the long-distance reflector mode, by turning it to the third position, it turns on the wide reflector mode, and by turning it to the fourth position, the combination of both reflectors is turned on. Power modes in individual positions are cyclically switched by pressing the button on the side of the rotary switch. The red light on the battery case is activated by holding down the button on the battery case for approx. 0.5 s. Individual presses then switch between flashing (5 lumens) and constant light (20 lumens).
Memory of the last set power mode - the headlamp has a memory and always turns on in the last set power mode of the selected reflector, with the exception of the highest modes of the long and wide reflector, instead it turns on in the second highest mode of the given reflector.
The length of the cable connecting the headlamp to the battery case can be increased using the extension cable that is included in the package.
Battery status indication - pressing the button on the battery case activates the battery capacity indicator (four lit LEDs 80-100%, three LEDs 60-80%, two LEDs 40-60%, one LED 20-40%, one flashing LED means 20% remaining battery capacity).
Charging - unfold the rubber cover of the USB-C connector on the battery case and use the included USB-C cable to connect it to a computer, USB network adapter or USB car adapter. Any mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector can also be used for charging. During charging, the indicator diodes on the battery case flash, after full charge they light up permanently. Charging a fully discharged battery takes about 2 hours when using a USB source with a power of at least 27 W. Using a weaker source will increase the charging time.
Activating the USB output (powerbank function) - connect the device you want to charge. The activation of the USB output is indicated by flashing diodes on the case.
Intelligent protection against overheating - if the temperature of the headlamp rises above 55 °C, it will automatically reduce power until its temperature stabilizes. As soon as the temperature drops below 55 °C, the output will automatically increase again.
Intelligent power reduction - The headlamp has a built-in protection circuit. When the reflector gets closer to the illuminated object (less than 60 mm) for more than 1s, it will automatically reduce the power to low mode to prevent the object from being damaged by strong light and glare from reflected light. When the reflector is far from the illuminated object, the headlamp automatically restores the previously used power level. Turn on/off the smart proximity sensor - press the side button for 6 seconds when the headlamp is turned off. Turning on the function is indicated by the headlamp with two flashes in low mode. Deactivation of the headlamp function is indicated by eight flashes in low mode.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty
- If the headlamp flashes, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
- The battery is dead - charge it
- Make sure the connector on the cable between the headlamp and the battery case is firmly connected
It uses a powerful Cree XHP70 LED with a neutral color temperature of 4500 K and two Luminus SST-20 LEDs with a warm color temperature of 3000 K and a high CRI of 94.5, all with a lifespan of 50,000 hours.
