Fenix LR35R rechargeable LED light
The Fenix LR35R rechargeable lamp brings an extreme luminous flux of up to 10,000 lumens (ANSI) and a wide, smooth cone with an afterglow of up to 500 meters. The lamp is powered by two high-current Li-ion batteries type 21700 (included in the package), which can be charged directly in the lamp via a modern USB-C connector. Extraordinary luminous flux was achieved by using six high-performance Luminus SST-40 LEDs. There are five lighting levels and a blinding strobe flash mode for emergency situations. Thanks to the arrangement of the batteries next to each other, the lamp is surprisingly short and fits perfectly in the hand. Control is convenient and fast using one side button. It is possible to lock the lamp with it for transport in luggage. The lamp is particularly suitable for movement in difficult terrain, search operations, search and rescue, protection of objects, and will serve well wherever you need to illuminate large spaces strongly.
All lamp parameters (luminous flux, battery operation time, waterproofing, afterglow and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.
Fenix LR35R lamp parameters
- Six powerful Luminus SST-40 LEDs with a lifetime of 50,000 hours of light are used.
- A total of seven power modes: 10,000 lumens (1.4 hours) -> 3000 lumens (1.6 hours) -> 1200 lumens (3.25 hours) -> 450 lumens (8.3 hours) -> 50 lumens (80 hours) -> Strobe 10,000 lumens.
- Endurance times are measured with the included high-current accumulators.
- The lamp is powered by two Li-ion batteries 21700 with a capacity of 4000 mAh (Fenix ARB-L21-4000P), which are included in the package.
- It is necessary to use high-current Li-ion batteries in the lamp, which can handle consumption of up to 15 A. Otherwise, the highest mode will not be available (short-circuit protection may turn off in weak batteries).
- Performance in the highest modes is regulated by overheating protection.
- The batteries can be charged via the fast USB-C connector directly in the lamp.
- Charging time with a powerful USB source is approximately 3.5 hours. It can be longer with weaker resources.
- A six-part smooth reflector for a smooth wide cone with an afterglow of up to 500 meters (63,200 cd).
- Digitally regulated for constant brightness.
- Intelligent protection against overheating, battery status indication.
- The lamp has a memory and will always turn on in the last set mode (does not apply to the strobe).
- Protection against accidental insertion of batteries in reverse (reverse polarity).
- Solid metal buckle.
- Made of aircraft hardened aluminum. Trapezoidal threads highly resistant to wear.
- Durable hard-to-scratch surface - Type III hard anodized.
- Impact resistant to a drop from a height of 1 meter.
- Waterproof and dustproof according to the IP68 standard (tested under water at a depth of 2 meters for 30 minutes).
- Dimensions 14 cm (length) x 5.15 cm (head diameter) x 4.65 cm (largest oval body diameter).
- Weight 239 grams without batteries, 383 grams including accumulators.
- Hardened ultra clear glass lens with anti-reflective coating.
- The lamp comes with a hand strap, a case, a spare o-ring, 2x Fenix ARB-L21-4000P batteries and a charging USB-C cable.
- It is possible to purchase a USB network adapter supporting faster charging or a USB car adapter for the lamp.
Using the Fenix LR35R lamp
The lamp can be turned on or off by holding down the side button for half a second. After that, the lighting modes can be changed cyclically from the lowest to the highest by short presses of the button. By holding the button for 1.2 seconds, the stroboscope is activated, from which you can return to the originally selected mode with a short press of the button. The control button can be locked so that it does not turn on by itself, e.g. when transporting in luggage - press the control button twice quickly (within 0.5 seconds). To unlock, quickly press the button twice again. Unwanted switching on can also be prevented by allowing the lamp body to be tightened.
Intelligent protection against overheating - after exceeding the temperature of 65°C, the lamp will automatically gradually reduce the output, after cooling down below 65°C, the output will automatically increase again.
Charging - open the cover of the charging connector on the side of the lamp and plug the enclosed cable into the USB-C connector, plug the other end of the cable into a computer, USB adapter to the mains, USB car adapter or power bank (not included in the package). During charging, the LED in the button flashes red, and after full charge it lights up green. Charging completely discharged batteries takes about 3.5 hours when using a 3A source. During charging, the light can only be used in the lowest mode. Battery capacity indication - after switching on the lamp, the indicator in the button lights up for 3 seconds. If the indicator light is green, the batteries are charged to more than 85%. Green flashing means 50-85% capacity. If it lights up red, they are charged to 25-50%. Blinking red means less than 25% capacity remains.
Warning of depleted batteries - the lamp will gradually automatically switch to the lowest power mode and the indicator diode in the button will start flashing red.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts of the lamp yourself, this will void the warranty.
- Never use different discharged batteries or batteries with different capacities.
- Use only high-current Li-ion batteries type 21700 with protection electronics, otherwise the light may not work properly.
- If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after a long period of use, replace them. The rings must also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the lamp will be properly protected against water.
- If the light flickers, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
- The batteries are almost empty - replace them or charge them.
- The contacts inside the lamp are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
- The lamp body is loose - add lubricant to the sealing rings and tighten.
