Fenix HM50R V2.0 rechargeable headlamp
Fenix HM50R V2.0 rechargeable headlamp
The Fenix HM50R V2.0 is the second generation of the popular rechargeable headlamp with up to 700 lumens, a range of 115 meters and red light. For power supply, you can use either the RCR123A Li-ion battery ( included ) or the CR123A disposable battery (with limited max. output of 130 lumens). The RCR123A battery can be recharged via the USB-C connector directly in the headlamp. The control button on the side of the headlamp also has an indicator diode built into it, which shows the battery charge status when pressed. The headlamp is also equipped with a function to extend the endurance. During prolonged use , it gradually reduces the power in small steps to achieve a longer lighting time (see. endurance chart).
The overall construction ensures high durability, optimal cooling and is fully waterproof according to the IP68 standard. The practicality of the headlamp is increased by the ability to remove the light from the headband and use it as a small pocket flashlight.
All lamp parameters (luminous flux, battery operation time, waterproofing, afterglow and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.
The use
From the factory, there may be a black insulating cap inside the lamp on the battery. Remove it from the battery before first use.- The turned off headlamp will switch to the last used white light mode by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
- The turned off headlamp is turned on to red light by pressing the button twice quickly.
- The headlamp is turned off by holding down the button for 0.5 seconds.
Battery charge status indication: After a short press of the button (headlight must be switched off), the LED indicator in the button is activated. If the indicator light is green, the battery is more than 80% charged. Green flashing means 50-80% capacity. If it lights up red, it is charged at 20-50%. Red flashing means that less than 20% of the battery capacity remains. The indication only works properly with rechargeable RCR123A / 16340 batteries.
Charging: Lift the rubber cover of the charging connector and plug the included cable into the lamp (USB-C connector), plug the other end of the cable into a computer, power bank or USB adapter for the mains or car (not included). The side button lights up red while charging and turns green when fully charged. After charging the light, seal the charging connector again with the rubber cap. Charging a fully discharged battery takes approximately 1.5 hours. In an emergency, the light can be used while charging, but only the lowest white mode and red modes will be available.
Low battery warning: If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to lower power modes. If the headlamp is already switched to the lowest power mode and the battery is critically discharged, the indicator in the button will start flashing red. However, the headlamp will continue to shine until the battery is completely discharged. Note: the low battery warning is only calibrated to the voltage of rechargeable Li-ion batteries.
Headlamp lock against starting: Loosen the headlamp battery cap by a quarter turn, this will break the electrical contact and the headlamp cannot be switched on. The button can also be locked electronically - with the headlamp off, hold the button down for 3 seconds. After locking, the lamp flashes red. To unlock, hold the button again for 3 seconds.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
- Use only high-quality batteries to avoid damaging the lamp, for example due to leakage of substances from the batteries.
- Remove the batteries from the flashlight if it will not be used for a long time or if the battery is already discharged. Otherwise, some lower quality batteries may damage the headlamp.
- If the headlamp flashes, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
- Batteries are almost empty - replace them.
- The headlight cap is enabled - tighten it.
- The electrical contacts are dirty - clean them with a cloth soaked in alcohol.
Powerful LED Cree XP-G3 S4 (6000 K) and two red Everlight LEDs are used, all with a lifespan of 50,000 hours.
