Grivel Nepal SA (w/Long Leash Evo) ice axe
The Nepal ice axe is designed for classic mountaineering and glacier tours. It has a forged steel blade and tip. Its shaft is slightly curved to facilitate the self-arrest maneuver (hence the name SA), a technique that climbers use to stop a slide using an ice axe and no other system. Its loop is equipped with a rubber tip protector. Aluminum handle for easy control.|

The Ergal shaft is very durable, painted with red epoxy paint to prevent corrosion and for better visibility of the ice axe.
