Mountain Equipment FANG 42+ is a reliable backpack for winter mountain ascents and multi-day crossings thanks to its high resistance to abrasion and weather conditions. Durability is achieved thanks to the M-series material with a strength of up to 420 denier and a carbonate coating. This strong and durable material will safely protect your equipment in the backpack. Thanks to functional processing with the possibility of detaching a number of components, including the canopy, its weight can be further reduced.

All equipment with you
A reliable backpack must cover a wide range of activities and accommodate equipment for ice climbing, multi-pitch climbing, summer and winter alpinism, or multi-day mountain crossings. Therefore, the backpack has a great possibility of holding the material. When every piece of equipment has its place, it is fixed firmly, and putting it on and taking it down is quick and easy.
Ergonomic straps and comfortable back
To improve wearing comfort, light EVA foam with high density is used, which does not absorb water due to closed pores. It is also exceptionally flexible and provides excellent torsional stability. The back is additionally reinforced with a custom-made molded HDPE frame plate, which ensures great weight distribution and comfortable carrying of the backpack.
EVA foam is also used on the anatomically shaped shoulder and hip straps, and the entire backpack is therefore comfortable to wear and will always firmly follow the movement of the body. The waist strap together with the chest strap support the shoulder straps in securing the backpack in place.
Taking down the backpack and reducing the volume
The backpack can be pulled down comfortably and firmly using the side straps. This will reduce the useful volume of the backpack and the material inside will not move unintentionally and throw you off balance. On the other hand, you will appreciate the possibility of releasing your backpack when boarding or moving to the cottage.
Durable fabric M420 ROBIC Ⓡ
The fabric of the backpack is made of extremely durable and at the same time light M-series material with a carbonate coating. The resulting fabric is highly resistant to abrasion and climatic conditions. The entire surface of the backpack, including the back, uses M420 ROBIC Ⓡ material with a strength of 420 denier, which is also doubled in the most stressed base of the backpack. ROBIC Ⓡ yarns are stronger than conventional yarns and the carbonate coating is an alternative to PU coating that does not suffer from hydrolysis and the related yellowing and peeling of the coating.
Grappler TM - patented fastening
Thanks to the patented closing system, which uses a puller and a specially designed Grapple TM buckle, the backpack can be easily opened or closed, even with gloves or one hand.
Two-year guarantee without compromise
You must always rely on the equipment. So if something is wrong, you have an uncompromising two-year warranty. If you discover a manufacturing defect, send the goods to us and we will hand them over directly to the service center in Munich, which will take care of the rest.
Post-warranty service
If you damage the equipment yourself, the service center in Munich will repair it. Just send it to us and we will take care of everything.
