You open the ORTOVOX HAUTE ROUTE 30 S backpack with a perimeter back zipper - just like a suitcase, and you always have convenient access to everything. In addition, the backpack is extremely durable and the front of the backpack is reinforced with NYLON 420D OXFORD material. You don't have to worry about the sharp edges of skis, crampons or ice axes.

Innovative durable material NYLON 420D OXFORD

The design of the HAUTE ROUTE 30 S backpack has been improved since winter 2020/21:

The outside is made of NYLON 420D OXFORD material. The material is light and unusually resistant to abrasion and cuts.
Together with the waterproof treatment, the life of the backpack increased, but at the same time it also reduced the weight compared to the previous model. The backpack can withstand really harsh treatment.

ORTOVOX developers collaborated with physiotherapists on the updated O-FLEX-2 BACK SYSTEM. The goal was to create a comfortable back system for all-day wear and at the same time to hold the backpack perfectly even when going downhill. And they succeeded. The backpack literally becomes part of your body.

A practical approach to development

Put your backpack in the snow and not get his back wet? Žiadny problém. The ORTOVOX HAUTE ROUTE 30 S backpack has access to the main compartment using a two-way zipper, which is along ¾ of the back. You put the backpack face down in the snow and open it like a suitcase.

You can easily reach all the things inside even with the equipment attached to the backpack. The light-colored inner material improves clarity and facilitates orientation inside the backpack. Inside there is also a clip with a separate compartment for attaching the water reservoir. The back is covered with a softshell that repels snow. You can also get to the main pocket through the upper zip entry.

Fast and reliable attachment of skis or snowboard

With both clamps, you do not lose the possibility of convenient access to the backpack and the firm attachment of other equipment.

The danger of avalanches is relentless, and therefore a large part of the design of the backpack is adapted to simple and quick use in stressful situations. The red zipper handles indicate the pocket for the avalanche probe and shovel. Inside you will also find a picture with signals and contacts for emergency communication. The chest strap includes an emergency whistle.

In the version with a shorter back

This variant of the "S" backpack is designed for people with a back length of 36 to 44 cm. However, the ORTOVOX HAUTE ROUTE backpack can also be purchased in a variant for those of you with a back length between 42 and 50 cm. The length of the back is counted from 7. cervical vertebra to the upper part of the pelvis. The backpack is not only modified in the length of the back, but also changes in the shape of the shoulder straps and adjustment of the waist belt. The backpack thus fits perfectly and holds more firmly on the back.
