Rab Ascendor Summit Hoody
A new series of Rab Ascendor technical middle layers with an ingenious combination of materials for the best ratio of thermal insulation properties and breathability for all, not only mountain activities.
Ascendor Summit Hoody is the ultimate variant from this series. Since 2020, Rab has set itself the goal of gradually developing sustainability and minimizing our footprint as much as possible. However, this is not some first-rate "marketing" plan, but Rab takes great care in evaluating recycling methods to make it clear whether it all makes sense. So, of course, there are also recycled materials on the new mid layers from Rab.
Pertex® Quantum Air + Thermic™ G
Light and windproof Pertex® Quantum Air is placed on the chest and abdomen, the upper part of the sleeves up to the elbow and on the lower part of the hood (covering the ears). DWR treatment ensures easy water resistance. Pertex is also lined with ultra-warm, absorbent and highly combed fleece, which, together with the outer material, is wonderfully breathable. In the waist, sides, lower body, lower part of the sleeves, hood, forearms and underarms, we find light and breathable fleece Thermic ™ G. This combination excellently wicks body moisture away and is therefore perfectly suited for highly aerobically demanding activities and can be used as a top layer as well as a middle layer.
Accessories
The sweatshirt has a tight-fitting hood with an elastic hem and, if necessary, is intended for use under a helmet. The lower hem of the jacket is equipped with an elastic hem. Likewise, elastic cuffs on the sleeves, which are equipped with a thumb loop. Lem bundy je tzv. "dropped" means that it is lowered from the torso towards the seat and thus protects the back. 3/4 The central zipper is YKK and allows effective ventilation. The jacket has a single breast pocket with a YKK zipper.
Utilization
Rab Ascendor Summit Hoody will provide warmth, protection against wind and partly also against water (DWR treatment). We would recommend it the most for demanding winter ascents, alpinism and general mountaineering activities. It will certainly not get lost on skialp and backcountry expeditions. But it will also serve less ambitious individuals - cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, winter hiking.
Thanks to the ingenious combination of materials, it can be used as a top layer or as a classic medium insulation in a layering system.

How to measure.
Chest: Measure the entire circumference of your chest, just below your armpits.
Waist: Find the top of your hips and measure the entire circumference around your body.
Arm length: Measure horizontally from the centre of the back, over the shoulder, through the naturally bent elbow to the wrist.
Hips: Measure around the widest part of your hip area.
Inseam length: Measure from the crotch to the bottom of the ankle.
IMPORTANT: The chart below shows body measurements, not clothing measurements.
