VIVID is a patented technology developed by Giro in collaboration with ZEISS Optics. VIVID significantly improves the visual experience of movement in the snow thanks to the improvement of contrast and sharpness - you will see accurately, without excessive color saturation. VIVID reduces eye fatigue, improves reaction time, and strengthens self-confidence.
HOW DOES VIVID WORK?
The VIVID technology was developed by the Giro brand in cooperation with the global leader in the field of optics - ZEISS Optics. Standard ski goggles completely block the so-called blue light. For a long time, it was believed that blue light equaled bad light for snow vision. But there is one problem: snow is not white. As the most reflective surface on the planet, snow is actually blue. Our research has shown that blue light is important for seeing and reading snow-covered terrain correctly. VIVID technology transmits part of the blue light, which increases contrast, but at the same time blocks dangerous UV radiation. VIVID basically filters out the "glare haze" and your eyes will see exactly the plastic terrain in front of you: bumps, lumps, ice sheets, piled up or deep snow.
