Waxing improves belt slip, protects them from mechanical wear and extends belt life. For this reason, it is recommended to wax your belts before or during each hike. Applying Kohla impregnating wax is easy.Impregnation procedure at home
- Spread the wax on the dry and clean strips glued to the skis in the direction of the hairs.
- Iron it with a warm iron. Iron the belt only once, from tip to heel.
- Let the wax harden for an ideal 12 hours.
The process of impregnation on a hike
- Leave the strips stuck to the skis, clean them and, if possible, dry them in the sun
- Spread the wax onto the strips in the direction of the hair growth.
- We rub the waxed hair under pressure with a leather glove so that we heat the wax through friction.
