Ortovox Tour women's compression knee socks

Do you want to avoid fatigue during the ascent? In that case, TOUR COMPRESSION could become your favorite socks for long and challenging climbs. Thoughtful compression supports muscles and protects them from fatigue. The socks have special zones, an ergonomic shape and are made of a combination of Merino wool, polyamide and silk. They are designed for a pleasant experience during ski touring, high mountain hiking, trail running and other aerobic activities when you need to oxygenate your muscles.

Gradual compression

TOUR COMPRESSION sports socks have gradual compression. The compression is stronger at the ankle and decreases upwards. This ensures that deoxygenated blood full of lactate is pushed back to the heart faster, and fresh oxygenated blood reaches the legs better. Thanks to this, the legs get tired later and have more energy.

The compression is according to the European CEN standard, i.e. class 1 – moderate pressure (15-21 mmHg).
Compression ensures better oxygenation of the legs, supply of nutrients and thus improves performance.

Comfort thanks to Merino wool

Thanks to the natural properties of Merino wool, the socks are able to wick moisture away, have good thermoregulatory properties, neutralize odors and are very comfortable. This makes them a great companion for long and demanding ski mountaineering tours and also for high-altitude alpine crossings.

The highest quality Merino wool

ORTOVOX uses only the highest quality Merino wool from Tasmania. Merino wool is a material that degrades only negligibly over time and retains its functional properties for many years. Merino wool comes only from selected farms that meet the strict ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE (OWP) standards.

ORTOVOX obtains new merino wool from certified sheep farms that adhere to ethical principles of animal treatment.
Only wool from Tasmanian sheep meets the demanding requirements of the ORTOVOX brand.

Running knee-high socks from ORTOVOX

This legendary German company named Ortovox has been specializing in challenging mountain activities since 1980. They became popular, thanks to their avalanche transceiver ORTOVOX F2. It had a double frequency transceiver for searching avalanche victims. Except for safety systems and finders, they also offer apparel, backpacks, shovels, probes, and other freeride and alpine equipment.
