Petzl REEVE cargo pulley for rope rescue
The REEVE travel pulley combines two pulleys integrated into the anchor plate. It thus simplifies the complex assembly of the travel system on tensioned rope traverses. The compact design reduces the need for carabiners and reduces the height of the entire system. Two pulleys with large diameter discs, mounted on encapsulated ball bearings, provide excellent efficiency. Several connection holes, into which carabiners, ropes and loops can be directly connected, facilitate the installation of the system.
Operation and efficiency are optimized:
- The three-stage system for opening the movable sidewalls is easy to operate even when wearing gloves
- Red indicators provide a quick visual check if the sidewalls are not completely closed and secured
- Two large diameter discs mounted on encapsulated ball bearings for superior efficiency
- The system can be completely assembled before the actual installation on the main rope of the traverse
Various configurations and connection options:
- The system can be duplicated by placing two REEVE pulleys next to each other (if the distance of the ropes allows), or by connecting another pulley to the upper rope connection hole at a greater distance
- The pulley can be used in a pull-out hoist
- The design of the hole allows the ropes and loops to be passed through for direct connection without carabiners
- Holes with a diameter of 19 mm allow the passage of the lock fuses of most carabiners
- An odd number of connection holes allows the system to be centered and balanced
- The possibility of connecting up to three people at the same time
