Petzl CHICANE additional brake for Zigzag mechanical breaker
The CHICANE additional rappelling device allows the use of ZIGZAG or ZIGZAG PLUS mechanical prusiks on one rope. Provides higher friction when roping. The excellent compatibility of CHICANE and the mechanical prusik ZIGZAG or ZIGZAG PLUS as a whole ensures smooth sliding of the rope through the device during ascents. The ergonomic handle provides an excellent grip and facilitates movement when moving the limbs. Thanks to the openable side panel, installation is quick and easy.
Use of ZIGZAG or ZIGZAG PLUS mechanical PPrusiks on one rope:
- Smooth braking thanks to the added friction of two friction segments
- Used with Am'D or OK coupling (not included in the package)
- The cross-section of the coupling in the shape of the letter H together with the positioning ring of the mechanical prusik make the entire system a compact unit that ensures smooth sliding of the rope during ascents
- The ergonomic handle facilitates movement when moving the limbs
Easy installation:
- Opening side for quick and easy installation on the rope
- The three-stage opening limits the risk of accidentally opening the side
- It connects to the upper opening of the mechanical prusik
- Optimized service life thanks to two friction segments that are available as spare parts
- CHICANE allows you to work in accordance with the ANSI Z133 standard
