Petzl ABSORBICA-Y 80 cm fall arrester
ABSORBICA-Y 80 is a double connecting device with an integrated fall absorber, intended for progressing along a horizontal securing line (textile or steel rope) or on a raised platform, without passing the continuous anchor points. For users weighing between 60 and 140 kg, including equipment. It has several harness connection options and can be used with different types of couplers.
Designed for progress along both vertical and horizontal belay lines (textile or steel rope) and for passing progress anchor points.
Absorbs energy in the event of a fall:
- The gradual tearing out of the shock absorber strap seams reduces the impact force on the user
- For users with a total weight from 60 to 140 kg, including equipment
Maximum permitted length 100 cm including couplings
Minimal volume: the very compact design of the fall absorber does not hinder the user during the procedure
A durable fabric case with an easy opening system protects the shock absorber from abrasion or dirt and at the same time allows for regular inspection
Two harness installation options depending on use:
- Frequent connection/disconnection - by the carabiner held in the correct position by the positioning protector STRING (part of the rope)
- Temporary-permanent connection: RING OPEN ring, whose circular shape enables optimal placement
Two options for using couplings at the ends of the rope: a carabiner with a lock safety or an MGO OPEN coupling with a large latch clearance
