150 COOL Beta-spun technology
The 150 COOL line of thermal underwear is made from a new beta-spun technical yarn, which is more durable and stronger, but at the same time retains the natural properties of natural fibers TENCEL TM and Merino wool. Beta-spun technology from the SÜDWOLLE Group is based on a new spinning method in which polyamide fibers are wrapped around a core of Merino wool and TENCEL TM. Thanks to the protective layer of polyamide, the resulting material is more resistant to abrasion and tearing.
The highest quality Merino wool
ORTOVOX uses only the highest quality Merino wool from Tasmania. Merino wool is a material that degrades only negligibly over time and retains its functional properties for many years.
Properties of Merino wool:
- It can naturally regulate moisture - it absorbs moisture into its internal structure and remains dry on the surface.
- It can naturally regulate body temperature - it has a large thermoregulatory range.
- It is 100% environmentally friendly and ecologically sustainable.
- It has antibacterial properties, thanks to which it can neutralize odors.
- It is soft, does not scratch and is comfortable to wear.
- It is easy to maintain and has a long service life.
ORTOVOX has demanding criteria for sheep breeding itself, which significantly affects the quality of its wool. In order to fulfill this, ORTOVOX only buys wool from a few selected farms that are subject to regular inspections and that meet the strict standards of the ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE (OWP).
- ORTOVOX obtains new merino wool from certified sheep farms that adhere to ethical principles of animal treatment.
- Only wool from Tasmanian sheep meets the demanding requirements of the ORTOVOX brand.
These farms are regularly monitored as part of the OWP. The wool itself is 100% ecological and therefore extremely environmentally sustainable. Merino wool provides perfect comfort and a feeling of softness thanks to the thin fibers that make up fine woolen yarns. In addition, this wool perfectly regulates temperature and wicks away sweat, so you will feel comfortable in any conditions. In addition, Merino wool neutralizes odors thanks to its antibacterial effects, and it is very easy to care for.

ORTOVOX products are made of the highest quality, which is why solving any complaints is really easy. If you discover a manufacturing defect, whether it's a fraying seam or external pilling, just send the product to us and we'll take care of its repair, replacement, or refund. For out-of-warranty repairs, ORTOVOX has its own service center where it repairs everything.
