Reinforced places with Dyneema® material
Polyethylene fibers produced by DSM and marketed as Dyneema® are the strongest textile fibers that can be used to make clothing. These fibers are six times stronger than steel. Three-layer GORE-TEX® Pro 80 D
However, the basis of the TUPILAK PANT is a three-layer GORE-TEX® Pro membrane. Its thickness is 80 D, which means the most robust material you will find on hardshell sportswear. These pants are expected to be used in really rough conditions, so it is extremely important that you can really rely on them.

TUPILAK PANT trousers are completely water resistant. It is a GORE-TEX® Pro membrane of the porous type. One such pore is twenty thousand times smaller than a water molecule and therefore only allows water vapor molecules to pass through. So the moisture from the sweat gets out, but the water drops don't penetrate inside. Thanks to this, the membrane is highly breathable and waterproof at the same time.

Snow doesn't really get into your pants
TUPILAK PANT trousers are really high. They reach slightly above the waist and the fully adjustable straps ensure that the pants stay in one place throughout the climb. The suspenders are attached to the front of the pants at both ends, so you can comfortably go to the toilet without having to undress. Just open the side zippers and pull down the back of the pants. In combination with the TUPILAK JACKET, neither snow nor water stands a chance.

The most perfect seams
Small details make a big difference. Mountain Equipment hardshell pants are sewn using smooth seams. You won't see any threads on the outside of the pants. Pants sewn in this way last much longer, because the seam threads do not rub against rocks and other objects on the outside. Thanks to this, the absorption of moisture into the seam threads is also prevented, making the trousers even more resistant to getting wet. In addition, all seams are taped with waterproof tapes.

Perfect shape of the pants, shaped knees
That TUPILAK PANT pants are designed to real extremes is proven by the length and width of the pants. It is assumed that you will have comfortably functional underwear, a softshell, insulating pants and on top of these goretex pants. The shape of the knees is adapted to frequent lifting of the legs. So it will not happen that the pants slide over the edge of the shoes. The trousers include a removable snow cover.

Full opening zips of the highest quality
Mountain Equipment used the highest model range of the renowned YKK® brand, namely the Aquaguard® type, for the full-length side zippers of the pants. If water should still get through the zipper, there is a GORE-TEX® Pro lining on the inside, after which the water flows down and continues out the bottom of the pants. Thoughtful, right?
