Black Diamond Venom Adze ice axe
Light and technical ice ax for mountain climbing. This is a universal ice ax that, thanks to its construction, can handle couloir climbing and alpine terrain. Black Diamond thus fills the gap between the classic VHT ice ax and the technical ice ax. The slightly curved top part ensures enough space for hanging or jamming in more difficult passages. This is a well-balanced ice axe. For the molded handle, Black Diamond used two different hard plastics that can withstand rough handling while also being non-slip. The Lockdown loop secures this ice ax against loss when climbing gets tough.
Also suitable for securing by either sticking the handle into the snow or burying the entire ice ax (creating an anchor).
