Petzl SMD TRIACT LOCK carabiner with automatic safety
The SMD D-shaped carabiner with lock safety is very light and compact, it can be used in many situations. It is easy to handle even with gloves.
High versatility of use:
- Attaching a belay device, a pulley, at the end of the loop
Excellent handling and ergonomics:
- D-shape for good handling
- H-shaped cross-section reduces weight while maintaining strength and fits well in gloves
- The KeyLock lock system prevents accidental capture of the carabiner
- A small hole under the latch allows you to attach TIBLOC or MICRO TRAXION devices to a carabiner with a lanyard, preventing them from getting lost.
It is produced in three lock fuse systems:
- SCREW LOCK - screw lock, can be used locked or unlocked depending on the situation. The red indicator signals an unsecured fuse. This system is suitable for difficult conditions (mud, ice), where the automatic fuse could become clogged with dirt
- TWIST LOCK - specific situations where quick opening (end of connecting loops) is required and for connecting the GriGri to the harness
- TRIACT LOCK - automatic safety device used for working at heights
- TL and SL models are produced in black for special component and tactical use, or for use in the entertainment industry
