The ORTOVOX FREE RIDER 28 is designed for both skiers and snowboarders who want a backpack for the most demanding slopes. The backpack has the option of inserting a certified Clasp Spine Protector. You can attach everything you need for extreme freeride descents to the backpack, including a rope and 2 ice axes. A highly durable and comfortable backpack that will fit you like a glove even at high speeds. Thanks to the Clasp Flex Belt tightening system, which you tighten with one movement, the backpack becomes a part of you and does not throw you off balance - the backpack perfectly surrounds your back.
Back with the option of inserting a certified spine protector
A backpack with avalanche equipment must be carried with you every time you ride off-piste. Why not have a backpack with an integrated back protector? Add the Clasp Spine protector to it, which is a certified spine protector (with motorcycle certification) for a height of up to 200 cm. With a weight of only 200 g, it will not burden your back, but will help protect it. The Triple Flex Elements technology guarantees good flexibility of the protector, which will ensure the necessary comfort. The protector is compatible with all variants of the updated Freerider backpack series. You simply put it in the designated pocket and your back is safe.
A backpack that blends with your body
The weight of the ORTOVOX FREE RIDER 28 backpack is only 1150 g. The backpack has a wide waist belt that you can easily adjust and then tighten using the integrated Clasp Flex Blet fastening system. You can tighten it with one hand, and even better, you can fasten the backpack to your body. Wide and comfortable shoulder straps better distribute the weight of the backpack between your shoulders, back and hips. The spinal system is made up of memory foam padding in 6 zones. The backpack thus hugs your body and stays firmly in place during any aggressive ride. In addition, the entire contact zone of the back is covered with a practical softshell, which improves grip and at the same time prevents snow from sticking.

Clear and practical pockets
The ORTOVOX FREE RIDER 28 backpack has several practical pockets:
- You can get to the main chamber through the back. You simply put the backpack face down in the snow and open it like a suitcase - everything is clearly visible. Here you will find a compartment for the water reservoir and the outlet for the tube that leads to the shoulder strap. The chamber is spacious enough for the equipment you need to keep dry. You can also reach the main compartment with a practical zipper from the top of the backpack.
- The second chamber serves as a safety avalanche pocket. There are pockets for avalanche equipment - shovel blade, shovel handle and probe. The wet equipment is thus separated from the rest of the things. The bag has intentionally orange zipper pulls so that they are immediately visible in case of an emergency. You will also find a small pocket and an Emergency Card.
- The third chamber is used to store "active equipment" - gloves, hats, balaclava, glasses and more. The equipment is at hand and you don't have to open the entire backpack.
- Furthermore, the backpack has a pocket on the hip belt, which is suitable for a mobile phone, camera or camera.
- In the lower part of the backpack there is a possibility to attach a helmet.
