Fenix LD02 High CRI + UV flashlight
The second generation Fenix LD02 lamp is extremely small, but powerful - it offers a luminous flux of up to 70 lumens (ANSI). It is fitted with a powerful Cree XQ-E LED with a warmer shade of light and a CRI (Color Rendering Index) of 90, thanks to which it renders colors perfectly. In addition, it is equipped with an ultraviolet LED with a wavelength of 365 nm. Ultraviolet light (abbreviation of UV from the English ultraviolet) enables a quick check of the authenticity of documents, banknotes, payment cards, but is also used to check the cleanliness or quality of the material or for forensic analysis when inspecting the crime scene. The lamp is not much bigger than the micro-pencil battery (AAA battery) from which it is powered. The head and end of the lamp are made of stainless steel.
LD02 has three different lighting levels and one UV mode, which allows users to choose the appropriate compromise between lighting intensity and operating time. Fenix LD02 uses commonly available micro-pencil batteries and thanks to its almost negligible size and weight, it is ideal for everyday use (Everyday Carry - EDC). If you are looking for a solid, reliable and powerful flashlight in the smallest possible size with extra UV light, then the Fenix LD02 is exactly for you.
All lamp parameters (luminous flux, battery operation time, waterproofing, afterglow and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.
Fenix LD02 High CRI + UV lamp parameters
A powerful Cree XQ-E HI Warm LED with a warmer shade of light, a CRI index of 90 and a lifespan of 50,000 hours and a UV LED with a wavelength of 365 nm are used.
Four power levels:
measured with NiMH battery: 70 lumens (0.75 hours) -> 25 lumens (2.9 hours) -> 1 lumen (45 hours) -> UV 200 mW (3 hours).
measured with alkaline battery: 70 lumens (0.65 hours) -> 25 lumens (2.65 hours) -> 1 lumen (75 hours) -> UV 200 mW (4 hours).
Uses only one micropen battery (type AAA - alkaline, lithium or rechargeable NiMH). These batteries are cheap and widely available.
Energizer L92 lithium micropencil batteries will provide the longest duration (especially suitable for extreme temperature conditions)
Endurance times are measured with a rechargeable NiMH battery with a capacity of 750mAh.
Supported battery voltage 0.9-1.7V.
Dimensions 9.2 cm (length) x 1.35 cm (diameter).
Weight 24 grams (without battery).
Made of aircraft hardened aluminum and stainless steel, durable surface - Type III hard anodized.
Impact-resistant from a fall from a height of 1 meter.
Waterproof according to the IP68 standard (tested under water at a depth of 2 meters for 30 minutes).
Hardened ultra clear glass lens with anti-reflective coating.
The collimator creates a continuous light cone with an afterglow of 48 meters (580 cd).
Solid steel buckle with titanium finish (removable).
Switching on and switching modes with a limit switch.
The package includes a spare o-ring and a disposable micropen battery.
Using the Fenix LD02 flashlight
To turn it on, press the switch located at the end of the lamp. When the lamp is on, you can change the power modes at any time by pressing the button (they switch cyclically: low - medium - high - UV).
Protection against overheating - after 3 minutes of operation at the highest power, the lamp switches to the second mode.
Warning
Do not disassemble the sealed part in the lamp head yourself, this will void the warranty.
Use only high-quality micro-pencil batteries to avoid damage to the lamp, for example due to leakage of substances from the battery.
Remove the batteries from the lamp if it will not be used for a long time or if the battery is already discharged.
Insert the battery with the positive pole towards the lamp head.
If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after a long period of use, replace them. The rings must also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the lamp will be properly protected against water.
If the lamp flashes or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
Batteries are almost empty - replace them.
The lamp head is loose, tighten it.
The contacts inside the lamp are clogged - clean them with a cloth soaked in alcohol.
