Fenix HP25R V2.0 chargeable headlamp
Fenix HP25R V2.0 rechargeable headlamp
The Fenix HP25R V2.0 rechargeable headlamp has two light cones - the long-distance reflector with the top-quality Luminus SST-40 LED creates a well-focused light beam with an afterglow of up to 290 meters, and the second reflector with the powerful Cree XP-G3 S4 LED has a very wide and continuous light trail to distance of 50 meters. The luminous flux of the remote reflector is up to 1600 lumens, the reflector with a wide cone offers a maximum output of 400 lumens and a neutral shade of light. The control of both LEDs is independent of each other, the light from both reflectors can be combined arbitrarily to achieve a luminous flux of up to 1600 lumens (when both reflectors are turned on at the same time, their max. output 1200 + 400 lumens). The remote reflector offers 5 light modes and three wide. In addition, the headlamp is equipped with a red LED with an output of 5 lumens, which can be used to send an SOS signal in case of emergency.One Li-ion battery 21700 with a capacity of 5000 mAh is used for power supply, which is included in the package and is charged via a modern USB-C connector directly in the lamp. This accumulator is placed in a case on the back of the head and the headlamp is thus well balanced on the head.
The headlamp is made of hardened aluminum and durable plastics, its construction is fully dustproof and waterproof according to the IP66 standard, and also shockproof when dropped from a height of 2 meters. At the same time, it is equipped with the function of extending the endurance.
The HP25R V2.0 headlamp replaces the older HP25R version and, thanks to the shared high performance and endurance parameters, is suitable for everyone who wants to have a strong and reliable partner in extreme conditions. It will serve great when working, e.g. rescuers, but also athletes, climbers, tourists and other outdoor enthusiasts. All parameters of the headlamp (luminous flux, operating time on batteries, waterproofing, afterglow and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.
A total of ten performance modes:
- Remote reflector: 1600 lumens (2 hours) -> 1000 lumens (4 hours) -> 400 lumens (8 hours) -> 150 lumens (24 hours) -> 50 lumens ( 56 hours ).
- Red light: 5 lumens (400 hours) -> red SOS signal 5 lumens ( 800 hours ).
- Remote reflector for a perfect light cone with an afterglow of 290 meters (20849 cd).
- Wide reflector with afterglow up to 50 meters (605 cd).
Using the HP25R V2.0 headlamp
There may be an insulating cap on the battery from the factory. Remove it from the battery before first use.The remote reflector is switched on by holding down the right button (approx. 0.5s), the wide reflector or the red light is turned on by holding down the left button (0.5s). By pressing the right button, the modes of the remote reflector are cyclically switched in the order: 50, 150, 400, 1000, 1600 lumens. By pressing the left button, the wide reflector and red light modes are switched in order: white 5, 150, 400 lumens, red 5 lumens, SOS signal. Both reflectors are turned off by holding down the corresponding button, and after turning off the headlamp remembers the last set mode for the given button (with the exception of turning off in the highest mode of the remote reflector, then next time it will turn on in the second highest mode for safety reasons). Both reflectors can be switched on at the same time.
Battery charge status indication - after a short press of any button (headlight must be switched off), the LED battery charge status indicator between the buttons is activated. If the green light is on, it means the battery is 85-100% charged, if the green light is flashing, it means the battery is 50-85% charged. If the red light turns on, the battery is 25-50% charged, and if it starts flashing, the battery is critical and the headlamp is less than 25% charged.
The control buttons can be locked to prevent spontaneous activation, e.g. when transporting in luggage - in the switched off state, press both buttons and hold them for at least 3 seconds, then the headlamp will flash red, indicating that it is locked. To unlock, it is necessary to hold both buttons again for three seconds.
Protection against overheating - if the temperature of the headlamp exceeds 60 °C, it will automatically reduce the power in gradual steps until the temperature stabilizes. As soon as the temperature drops below 60 °C, the output will gradually increase again.
Warning of a depleted battery - the headlamp automatically gradually reduces the number of available performance modes. When the batteries are completely discharged, only the lowest mode will be available. If the battery status indicator starts flashing during lighting, the battery is almost discharged.
Charging - open the cover of the USB-C connector on the battery case and plug in the attached charging cable, plug the other end of the cable into a computer, power bank or USB adapter to the mains or USB car adapter (not included in the package). During charging, the LED on the battery case lights up red. When fully charged, it will stay on green. Charging a completely discharged battery takes about 4 hours.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
- Use only high-quality Li-ion batteries for power supply.
- If the headlamp flashes, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
- The batteries are almost empty - replace them or charge the accumulator.
- The contacts in the battery holder are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
The light source in the long-distance reflector is a white LED Luminus SST-40, the source in the wide reflector is a Cree XP-G3 S4 with a neutral shade of light, and a red LED Everlight 2835 is also available. All with a lifetime of 50,000 h of light.

Prolonged use of the two highest light modes may heat up the headlamp and activate the intelligent overheat protection function, which will automatically reduce power
|
It uses a Li-ion battery 21,700 with a capacity of 5,000 mAh (included in the package). Alternatively, it is possible to use an 18650 Li-ion battery for power supply, but it is necessary to purchase an ALF-18 reduction.
