Fenix HM23 V2.0 headlamp, 300 lm, black
Fenix HM23 V2.0 headlamp
The compact Fenix HM23 V2.0 LED headlamp offers a luminous flux of up to 300 lumens (ANSI) and a afterglow of 88 meters. It uses one AA pencil battery for power, with which it can last up to 100 hours in the lowest mode (more than 4 days). The light source is a top white Luminus SST-20 LED with a lifespan of 50,000 hours and a pair of red LEDs. The all-metal construction ensures high resistance, optimal cooling, and at the same time it is fully waterproof and dustproof according to the IP68 standard up to a depth of 2 meters under water. The practicality of the headlamp increases the possibility of removing the light from the head holder and using it also as a small pocket flashlight. In addition, the headlamp is equipped with a removable steel clip, so you can easily attach it to a pocket, belt or any strap. The end of the lamp is magnetic, so it can be easily attached to anything iron. The headlamp offers a total of three power modes in the white light mode and electronics with the function of extending the endurance, in the 300 and 50 lumen modes it gradually reduces the power to achieve a longer lighting time (see endurance graph in individual modes). The red light can be activated in constant light or flashing mode (both with a power of 5 lumens).
Very decent parameters, a low weight of only 86 grams (including alkaline battery) and a favorable price make the HM23 V2.0 suitable for a whole range of sports, hobbies, work and everyday activities. It is suitable for evening runs on roads, camping, hiking, fishing and hunting. It will also serve as an emergency light in the car for unplanned situations, and thanks to its high resistance, it is also suitable as a working headlamp in difficult conditions.
All lamp parameters (luminous flux, battery operation time, waterproofing, afterglow and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.
The use
Unscrew the cap of the battery tube. Insert the battery with the plus pole towards the headlamp, the minus pole towards the cover. When the headlamp is turned off , it will turn on to the last used white light mode by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
When the headlamp is off, press the button twice quickly to turn on the last used red light mode.
The headlamp is turned off by holding down the button for 0.5 seconds.
If the headlamp is switched on, it is possible to cycle through power modes in the order of 3 - 50 - 300 lumens (when switched on to white light) or red 5 lumens - red flashing (when switched on to red light). The lamp has a memory and will always turn on in the last set mode (applies to both white and red light).
Low battery warning - if the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to a lower mode until it reaches the lowest power mode. After reaching the lowest power, the headlamp will flash 3 times every 5 minutes to remind you to replace the battery.
Headlamp Lock - When the headlamp is off, press and hold the side switch for 3 seconds, the headlamp will flash four times in red mode to indicate the locked status. It is unlocked by holding the button again for 3 seconds. Unwanted switching on of the headlamp can also be prevented by loosening the battery cap approximately a quarter of a turn.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
- Remove the battery from the lamp if you are not going to use it for a long time or if it is discharged. Otherwise, leakage and damage to the headlamp may occur, especially with disposable batteries.
- If the headlamp flashes, does not switch to higher modes, or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
- The battery is almost empty - replace it.
- The battery tube cap is loose, tighten it.
- The electrical contacts are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
