Fenix HL45R rechargeable headlamp, 1000 lm, black
Fenix HL45R rechargeable headlamp
The Fenix HL45R zooming rechargeable headlamp brings a luminous flux of up to 1000 lumens (ANSI) and an afterglow of up to 220 meters and a function for contactless on and off. The Gesture-sensing function allows you to turn the light off and on by waving your hand in front of the headlamp (the function can be deactivated). You can keep your hands free from mud, oil, or anything else while you work, and the lamp will still stay clean.Power is provided by a Li-ion battery with a capacity of 1900 mAh, which is charged via the USB-C connector directly in the headlamp. The battery can be removed and replaced in an emergency with three regular AAA batteries (it is not possible to charge in the headlamp). The light source is a modern LED Luminus SFT-25R and its light is directed by special TIR (Total Internal Reflection) optics with the possibility of adjusting the width of the light cone ( zoom function ). In addition, it also has a red OSRAM GR QSSPA1.23 LED, which reaches an output of up to 130 lumens.
There are a total of 8 power modes, including a red flash mode for emergency situations. Despite the adjustable optics, the headlamp maintains its water resistance according to the IP66 standard, so it can easily withstand heavy rain. The headlamp strap is equipped with reflective elements that ensure good all-round visibility when moving on the road. Thanks to its features, the Fenix HL45R headlamp is suitable for work use, hiking, search and rescue, as well as a headlamp for running, camping, fishing and other activities.
The use
There may be an insulating cap on the battery from the factory. Remove it before first use.Switching on, off and switching modes - if the rotary switch is in the locked position, the headlamp is switched on by turning the switch. In the second position, it switches on to white light mode, by turning it to the third position, it switches on to red light mode. Power modes in individual positions are cyclically switched by pressing the button on the side of the rotary switch. Hold the button for 0.5 seconds to turn off the headlamp. If the headlamp is unlocked and turned off with the side button, it will be turned on again by holding down the side button for 0.5 seconds.
Gesture control of the headlamp - when the headlamp is on and the gesture sensing function is activated, wave your hand in the sensing range in front of the headlamp to temporarily turn it off and turn it on again with another wave. *When the headlamp is on and the gesture sensing function is activated, hold down the side electronic switch for 0.5 seconds to turn off the lamp. After this action, it will not respond to any movement operation.
Turning on and off the gesture sensing function - to turn on the function, press and hold the electronic switch for 6 seconds, the headlamp will flash red twice, which means that the function is enabled. To turn off the function, hold the side switch again for 6 seconds, the headlamp will flash red eight times, indicating that the function is deactivated.
A note about the gesture capture feature:
- The sensing range is approximately 10 cm in front of the headlamp and may vary slightly depending on the material and color of the object being scanned, the ambient light, the brightness of the selected output and the waving speed.
- If there are other objects in front of the headlamp within the sensing range, the lamp may also turn on or off.
- The gesture sensing function only controls turning the light on and off and does not change modes.
- When gesture sensing is activated, waving your hand will turn off the light only temporarily. At this moment, the headlamp is in a standby state with low consumption. If there is no activity for more than two hours, the headlamp will automatically turn off from standby, and then it cannot be turned on with a wave of the hand. To turn on, press and hold the electronic switch for 0.5 seconds or turn the switch.
Battery charge status indication - After a short press of the button (headlight must be switched off), the LED battery charge status indicator is activated. Four lit LEDs mean the battery is 80-100% charged, three lit 60-80%, two 40-60%, one lit 20-40% and one flashing that the battery is less than 20% charged. This function is only available with the original ARB-LP1900 battery.
Charging
- Flip open the dust cover and plug the USB Type-C charging cable into the charging port of the headlamp, after charging is complete, put the dust cover back on to ensure waterproof and dustproof performance
- During charging, four indicators flash from left to right, four continuously lit indicate charging is complete
- The typical charging time for a completely discharged headlamp with a 5V/1A USB adapter is 3 hours.
- While charging, the headlamp can only be used in low mode.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty
- Use only the original Li-ion ARB-LP1900 battery, if using disposable AAA batteries, do not try to charge them in the headlamp
- If the headlamp flashes, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
- The battery is discharged - charge it or replace it.
- The contacts inside the headlamp are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
A powerful white LED Luminus SST-25R and a red LED OSRAM GR QSSPA1.23 with a lifespan of 50,000 hours are used.
