The latest addition to the TRAILFLY ultra-trail family comes as a golden middle ground for all runners who are afraid of the zero drop on which the TRAILFLY G 270 model is built and don't need the robust cushioning offered by the TRAILFLY ULTRA G 300.
The 2080s offer parameters that will suit the vast majority of fans of trail running and ultra trails.
The top is very roomy. Stretched on our widest hoof (5), which is much more roomy, especially in the transverse arch and toe area, than the standard width of most other brands of running shoes. So that there are absolutely no abrasions, we chose a construction made of seamless structured knitwear. On the one hand, it is firm and stable when holding the foot inside the shoe, and on the other hand, it is highly breathable and flexible, so that it does not press or rub anywhere.
The damping layer has a thickness of 22 millimeters with a drop of 8 millimeters. This makes the level of cushioning comfortable enough to support you on a very long run, but not so extremely tall that it's clunky and slow on a shorter, more brisk run. The used FLYSPEED foam lives up to its name. Light, comfortable and with a very high energy return, it will propel you with every step. In combination with the patented ADAPTER-FLEX element - the transverse division of the midsole, which you know from the TRAILFLY ULTRA G 300 model - the 280s have unrivaled flexibility and responsiveness due to their level of damping.
